Good morning…
Another day to focus on the work in front of us to carry on as guardians of freedom and liberty!!
It is our highest calling … trusting God in times of great difficulty, pain and/or suffering.
Right on the heels of celebrating General Flynn‘s endorsement of me for Governor of Michigan, I had to confront putting down my black stallion yesterday morning unexpectedly.
The hardest decisions are usually the right decisions. Those are the decisions that require courage, even when our hearts are breaking.
I said goodbye to my old friend …
As I sit here drinking my coffee, I’m pondering the future of the United States of America and the future that assuredly we are going to face. Trees have to be pruned to produce fruit and dead limbs and over growth have to be eliminated to ensure survival. Life depends on it.
This is what we’re going to have to face. We can’t let what we had eclipse the situation at hand … in the choice to go forward with bravery and courage. I believe we’re going to have some very tough times ahead. Things are not going to feel the same. It is going to elicit a grief response that may seem overwhelming, but the choice has to be courage and bravery over retreat despair, sadness, demoralization, and paralysis.
We are going to be called to do what do so many have done before us. We have to take a stand against pure evil and abolish it, in all its insidious subversive forms.
People are going to have to choose on which side they are going to stand. The choice is lamenting the things that we have become accustomed to or going forward, determining a bright and glorious future which we can create when we stand together in unity and service to God, family, and country.
If you are sad, do something … pick anything God lays on your heart. Pray … reach out to hurting people. Refuse to let loss disable you. Every positive action will be given wings by God Almighty …
That takes the sting of grief away. If you are grieving, it’s proof that you have and are capable of great love. Embrace it as a gift … proof of your connection to God … and fertilizer for future strength and spiritual growth.
Be brave … embrace courage in the wake of change.
In the unconditional love of Christ

President Trump never conceded the 2020 election …
Donna Brandenburg never conceded the 2022 election …
A stolen election is a threat to national security … a declaration of war by foreign adversaries and treasonous enemies within.
They weaponized our elections for over 20 years!!!! This has to be addressed not by a civil war but by a military intervention to hold everyone who colluded on a world wide scale accountable!!!
The true celebration will happen when we handle the active coup going on … my jaw is set to finish this fight.

The bureaucratic and efficiency is shocking in Washington DC.
They have been pushing a commemorative passport during the 250th anniversary. So we decided to get it. We called first to make an appointment, but after being on hold for over an hour, we decided to go to the passport office.
We were met by a security guard who said you have to call to make an appointment … which realistically you couldn’t because no one was answering the phones. Their start time was 8. His excuse was well if you called at 8:30 they had only been in work for a half hour and probably were still drinking coffee and talking about their weekend.
1 1/2 -2 hours - a department- zero work
This is our tax dollars at work. It is a pathetic display of waste and unaccountability. So we left without it. There was no realistic way to make it happen unless you had access to go through the State department as a diplomat.
“Fire them all” comes to mind. They are stealing from us.

Brandenburg for Governor 2026 well expose corruption and hold every entity and every person in our government accountable for their actions.
Brandenburg = transparency, accountability, and is the new department of Michigan DOGE
The Governor’s office in Michigan is not subject to the state’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) … it is explicitly exempt.
Additionally - Whitmer has been controlling access to information OUTSIDE OF THE GOVERNOR’S OFFICE!!
Michigan is actually one of only two states (along with Massachusetts) where the governor’s office and the Legislature enjoy this broad exemption from public records requests. This is criminal …
Legal Basis
Michigan’s FOIA (1976 PA 442, MCL 15.231 et seq.) defines which entities (“public bodies”) must respond to records requests. The statute explicitly excludes the governor, lieutenant governor, and their executive offices:
“Public body” means any of the following: (i) A state officer, employee, agency, department, division, bureau, board, commission, council, authority, or other body in the executive branch of the state government, but does not include the governor or lieutenant governor, the executive office of the governor or lieutenant governor, or employees thereof.
The Attorney General’s office confirms this: Michigan has over 10,000 public bodies subject to FOIA, but the governor/lieutenant governor’s executive offices and employees are carved out.
FOIA does apply to:
Most state executive branch agencies and departments (e.g., Michigan State Police, Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy, etc.)
Local governments (cities, townships, counties, school districts)
Public universities and colleges
Other bodies created or primarily funded by state/local authority (with some judiciary exceptions)
The policy statement in the law emphasizes broad public access to government information, but the governor’s office exemption overrides that for the executive mansion and staff.
Why Michigan Stands Out
Michigan is an outlier nationally:
It has a blanket statutory exemption for the governor’s office and Legislature.
Most other states subject their governors’ offices (and often legislatures) to open records laws, with varying exemptions for sensitive materials (e.g., deliberative processes or constituent correspondence).
This exemption has drawn criticism from transparency advocates, especially during events like the Flint water crisis, when records from the governor’s office were not directly accessible via FOIA. Some governors (e.g., Rick Snyder) have voluntarily released certain records, and Governor Gretchen Whitmer’s staff has internally reviewed communications from agencies before release, even though the governor’s office itself is exempt.
Whitmer has been controlling access to information OUTSIDE OF THE GOVERNOR’S OFFICE!!
Reform Efforts
There have been repeated bipartisan attempts to expand FOIA to cover the governor’s office and Legislature:
Bills have been introduced multiple times over the years (e.g., packages in 2023–2024 and earlier).
In early 2025, the Michigan Senate passed SB 1 and SB 2 (sponsored by Sens. Jeremy Moss and Ed McBroom) to include the governor, lieutenant governor, and Legislature, with some tailored exemptions (e.g., for certain constituent communications or pre-effective-date records.)
As of early 2026, the bills remained stalled in the House Government Operations Committee. House Speaker Matt Hall indicated the chamber would not take them up. Criminal!!!
Advocates have discussed ballot initiatives as a potential path forward if the Legislature continues to block reform.
Bottom Line
The Governor’s office in Michigan is not subject to FOIA … it is one of the very few government offices in the U.S. that is broadly exempt by statute. Most other Michigan government entities are subject to it, and Michigan stands out nationally for shielding the governor’s office and Legislature.
